Dr Nicholas Russell


Dr Nicholas Russell is dual-trained as a specialist in Endocrinology and specialist in General & Acute Care Medicine. He has sessional appointments in Endocrinology and General Medicine at Austin Health, is a visiting medical officer at Warringal Private Hospital, and runs an andrology clinic at the Australian Prostate Centre. He is completing a PhD in andrology (men’s health) at the University of Melbourne and also has research interests in sodium disorders, particularly hyponatraemia.

Nick has broad expertise in all areas of endocrinology including andrology, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and conditions of the pituitary, adrenal, and thyroid glands. He is interested in all aspects of obesity and metabolism including diabetes.

Nick is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, the US Endocrine Society, the Australian Diabetes Society, and The Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH). He has previously sat on the Victorian State Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and on the RACP College Council.
